A white man's response to Biden's DU defenders.

I grew up in a culture of white privilege and as a result I have inherent prejudices. I recognize the beliefs imparted to me by this culture are tools of racist oppression. These are facts and are NOT my fault.

The blame does not lie with being born white into a racist culture; it's not working to get rid of the stereotypes that we don't even know are stereotypes because we are too busy denying that we could possibly harbor racist thoughts.

1. calling an african american man "articulate" is a unconscious perpetuation

of societal influence.

But, I would expect a politician, who makes his living by what comes out of his mouth, to be more aware of the impact of what he says.

I"m a white guy, too, but I have opened my eyes to the institutional racism we are surrounded by.

7. I was extending your thought, not disagreeing with it.

merely saying that it takes personal responsibility to overcome societal influence, but that it behooves someone who living depends on being politically aware to take that responsibility.
