1. Oh, God.
That's a very good question. I wonder if we'll be able to find out.
The folks on DU think of such appropriate questions, they really do.

5. Tornadoes, while horrific
cover a much smaller area than hurricanes typically do. Don't expect to see the Guard called out.

My heart goes out to all those old folks who had a very marginal retirement in trailer parks. They've lost everything, and it's nearly impossible to start over when you're over 65.

Response will be inadequate, at the very best.

9. It's way worse than "mobile home parkes." Fla official said "Equal Opportunity Destruction"
and upscale homes, middle income homes more than the Mobile Home Parks.

11. We have to wait to see if "MSM" holds "FEMA's Feet" to Fire!
Remember FEMA takes 3 DAYS to "Kick In."

8. National Guard In Iraq ...........Florida

National Guard In Iraq
Saturday, January 13, 2007

"> Local soldiers are anxiously awaiting their fate, as 20,000 troops are in the process of being deployed to Iraq.

Members of the Florida National Guard's 265th Air Defense Artillery in Daytona Beach could be part of that group.

As of right now, the only deployment on their calendar is a previously planned Homeland Security mission to Washington DC.

However, the soldiers not going to the nation's capital could head overseas.

The Florida National Guard says that of the 12,000men and women serving in the Guard, about 1,000 are on active duty in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait.
