Sounds like Scarborough's PM show is history:
He made the statement on MSNBC that his 'regular' show, which soon may be his former show, normally airs during blah blah blah...

He's running a little hostile these days...he's probably pissed that he wasn't elevated to Tweety status.

TF Bad...

8. Yeppers...
I bet the Powers That Be would rather run another hour of cheap Docucrap that draws higher ratings at night.

Joey's the least of all evils for that morning slot. None of the try-outs worked well (meaning attracting or keeping the old Imus audience) as well as Joey has...and he's already in house and the costs wouldn't be as high to shift him to the morning.

Other than bringing in Stephanie Miller, I don't see him as any worse than Anus or any of the other of the morons they've put on...and hopefully Buchanan is too old to get up early.

IRC, MSNBC had announced they were making program changes several months ago that was going to move Tweety and Countdown up an hour...maybe this is part of that plan.

13. Why not Randi Rhodes?
I mean, besides the fact that she'd piss off too many right-wingers.

She's attractive, well-spoken, entertaining...what's not to like?

20. He's more mellow in the morning
And Pat Buchanan is also mellower. I don't watch a lot of it, but it's not as psychotic as his night show was.

2. He is so incredibly boring...at least with Imus we had....
someone who we could get furious about. Now, if only they could get a lefty that the konservatives could get furious about.

I think the ratings are going to sink like the Titanic.

4. Having guests like Pat Buchanan is what did him in IMHO.

Scarborough isn't the shapest knife in the drawer but having guests like that doofus Buchanan on a regular basis was just too much to bear.

6. I guarantee you that, if he's replaced,
Edited on Mon Jun-11-07 09:21 AM by Marr
the suits who hire is replacement will choose a Glenn Beck, not a Keith Olberman. They'll hire another arch-conseravative loser who can't get ratings, rather than a rational sort of person that can.

The wisdom of the free market, you know.

9. Ratings are secondary to ideology.
There was a local AM radio Rush wannabe show that ran for 2 hours every weekday. They probably had a regular listening audience of about 12. I used to call in sometimes just to annoy them. They were pretty dumb so it was easy to get the best of them.

The guy who owned the station, as well as several others, died. His daughter, the sole heir, canceled the show because it had been running at a loss. For decades. Her dad had been using money from a profitable FM station to subsidize the propagandafest.

The moral of the story is something most of you already know: Rich Republicans own just about all our 'news' media and they are pressing their advantage to bombard us with a steady stream of right wing propaganda. Most of you here at DU know how to think for yourselves but goofy people vote too. We need to bring back the fairness doctrine and break up consolodated ownership of TV & radio stations.

12. Yep. What's a little ad revenue compared to the corporate welfare that
right-wing policies provide? It's a pittance.

Our corporate entities are so big that media outlets operate essentially as PR wings of the company.

has signed him, sight unseen, to pitch for the Phillies.

16. Can't be worse than it already is...
11 unasnswered runs with 4 pitchers in relief on Sunday.

then they'll lose 2-1, giving up both in the 9th...

What a long, strange trip it's been...
