One of my favorite Molly Ivins stories.
Molly wrote for many publications, some of which did not object to obscenities.

One of her columns, which was included in her book, "Molly Ivins Can't Say That, Can She?" had a great piece about Texas politicians.
I don't recall what year it was, but the Texas legislature passed a law against homosexuality.

Molly wrote a column about it. (It might have been for "The Nation" magazine, but I'm not sure.) As usual, she didn't pull any punches.

I'm paraphrasing here, but part of her column went something like this. "As soon as the bill was passed, the Texas Republican speaker of the House shook hands with the Republican majority leader. And in doing so, they became the first people to break the law they had just passed which stated that a prick can't touch an asshole."

Yeah, Molly wasn't afraid of obscenities when they fit outrageous situations. (And if you doubt this story, look it up in "Molly Ivins Can't Say That, Can She?")

7. I think Molly was pretty fond of that story herself
I know I've heard her tell it at least once in person.
