Muslim leader claims Britain 'has become like Nazi Germany'

An Islamic community leader today compared the political situation in Britain with that of Nazi Germany.

Dr Mohammad Naseem, chairman of the Birmingham Central Mosque, said Muslims were being labelled as a threat like the Jews were under Adolf Hitler.

there are plenty of websites that spew hate and misinformation about Islam. On other message boards, I'm continually refuting false information about Islam and Muslims. Polls have shown that there has been a rise in people who believe that Muslim=Terrorist. I'm not familiar with what is going on in the UK, but if this is what is going on here and on the Internet, I can understand why Muslims are getting a "circling the wagons" mode.

Britain just like Jews emigrated from Germany while they still had the chance. It would be interesting to see figures on the net migration of Muslims to or from Britain in the past few years or what happens to these figures in the near future.

While Islam is predominantely a peaceful religion it tends to get hijacked. The hijackers use geopolitical events as all leaders do to gain clout. BTW Christians can be almost as bad, except they tend not to be as radical in the violent sense. Cartoons about Christians probably wouldn't stir up assasins to go after the cartoonist.

Moderate Muslims must stand up and slap down every radical imman that they encounter before they are able to contaminate others with their hatred. The radicals are like a cancer that starts with a few warped cells. It can be managed when it is tiny.

I agree that governments can easily become fascist and must be watched also. Their actions can become the source of hatred. There may become a time when we will ask where is "V" when we need him.

and that everyone else gets a free ride or is guilty of some crime against them.
