Oil Shortage? (joke)
A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country.

Well, there's a very simple answer:

Nobody bothered to check the oil.We just didn't know we were getting low
The reason for that is purely geographical.

Our OIL is located in ALASKA, California, Coastal Florida, Coastal Louisiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Texas

Our DIPSTICKS are located in Washington , DC !!!!

Any Questions?

2. we have oil drillers in the family, the have been drilling and capping for 40 years, all over the
country.. i got a call from a cousin when i was in WA at school in 1990, he was in town and we had dinner, i asked what he was doing and he said.. drilling oil wells, i was really confused..he said they had just drilled and capped 7 in Silverdale.. he said they had rigs that looked like water well drillers and no one knew what they were doing., he said he figured we had a lot more oil than the Saudi's and we were going to use up theirs first, then when the price went thru the roof they would start uncapping the ones we already drilled.

3. it's not about producing MORE fuel
it's about CONTROLLING the fuel...

turn the taps off and you have a shortage, prices go up, profits go up

4. Strangling the supply worked for Enron in California and it's working for oil worldwide.
Somebody got a big bonus for saying, "We can Enron this."
