What kind of a person makes anonymous death threats?

I've been following where the judge who sent scooter to the cooler told the court room that he's been receiving and keeping lots of death threats.

Why do people do this? They use the mail, they use email, they use the phone, but they never do it out in the open of course, they do it anonymously, call in bomb threats, threaten to kill your wife and kids, what the fuck kind of a person does this?

WHERE is the AG? Why isn't he conducting a press conference this very minute clearly stating that anyone found threatening a judge or witness will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law?

they are evidence in an on-going criminal investigation. Under the present circumstances, they will not be made public. But it is likely that some will become public in the future.

I would like to see a judicial inquiry (with its vast resources to collect and analyze data) and have these cowards brought up on terroristic threats. And my cats will sprout wings.

Even when I'm feeling my worst about Der Dictator, I don't want any harm to come to him or his family. I would like to see him humiliated, charged, convicted and sent to jail. That's it.

My RW sister sent me a letter with passages from the Psalms, claiming I was chaff instead of wheat and GOD was going to curse my entire family with an agonizing life on earth and eternal damnation to hell ( my little kids to).
She still feels that way, I've seen her once last year since then. Her eyes were like fire with hate for me still.
But she lights up with smiles at during early voting, she's an election judge in Texas. President of the women's republican ladies group. Sunday school teacher. You would never know she is filled with such hatred.
Likewise the ones sending the threats to the judge are of the mind that anyone that is not with them is against them. They feel no guilt taking matters into their own hands to speed up what they feel is the Lord's work.

Do they also have to threaten to kill us and our families too? These people have serious issues. In a weird sense, I have slightly more respect for someone who actually does something than someone who calls it in anonymously.
