Hillary supporters, tell me why I should support a candidate who
is fine with waiting until 2009 so she can end the war? Why not do something substantial now if she belieees the war is wrong? I did not hear anything from her this morning that would lead me to believe that if a poll suddenly indicated that there was some hint of support for this war that she wouldn't do an about face.

1. And P.S., has she ever taken responsibility for her initial vote and, if
so, can you provide a link, cause I haven't seen it yet. Thanks!

2. I'd like to know too.
I'd like somebody to tell me and then walk through the Vietnam Memorial. Tell me every name on that wall is not important. Tell me it's ok to waste more lives. Go ahead, tell me.

18. Or remind her of one of the most emotional things Kerry ever said
That half the names on that wall were for people who died after the leaders knew the war could not be one

3. I forgot to add that arguing nuance doesn't cut it either.
Nuance doesn't make the people sacrificed to this atrocity less dead or maimed.

4. Because if she wins the Democratic nomination
The alternative is McCain or Guiliani, two people who would love to continue the work Bush started.

Sure, go ahead, throw your vote away for someone else, or don't vote at all. But then you have no right to complain, really.

8. Oh I agree, if she wins the nomination she has my complete support
But until then I'm working for somebody else.

19. I have a right to complain
that there was a concerted effort to undermine certain other candidates to clear the field for Hillary.

I have a right to complain about the way some "Democrats" lie and smear other Democrats.

And if in the end, I prefer voting for a person who I am confident will act competently and within certain boundaries, versus someone whose competence I question and who I feel will do anything if it cements their own power....

It would certainly be a lousy choice...

20. If you vote and participate in the election, yet still vote third party
you most certainly DO have a right to complain.

No where is it written that you have to vote for one of two parties. It is, however, an unwritten rule that if you don't vote at all, then you have no right to complain - but just because someone doesn't vote for who YOU think they should vote for doesn't mean they aren't participating.

Ever heard of the Electoral College? In many states, voting for Hillary isn't going to make one hill of beans difference in where their Electoral College votes go. Geesch.

5. The fact is there are NOT enough votes in Congress to stop the war now
No bill to cut off funding would get anywhere close the votes needed to pass through the Senate or the House. Hillary's realistic; the misogynist Hillary haters are not.

6. Hold the vote anyway
Put the spineless and/or pro-war dems on record so we can vote them out in the 2008 primaries.

21. Have I said I hate Hillary?
I don't support her. I don't agree with her. I believe she is cautious to a fault.

As for the misogyny charge, I'm a woman with daughters and granddaughters.

13. We're leaving Iraq- to go to IRan!
Calling Iran a danger to the U.S. and one of Israel's greatest threats, U.S. senator and presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton said "no option can be taken off the table" when dealing with that nation.
"U.S. policy must be clear and unequivocal: We cannot, we should not, we must not permit Iran to build or acquire nuclear weapons," the Democrat told a crowd of Israel supporters. "In dealing with this threat ... no option can be taken off the table."
Clinton spoke at a Manhattan dinner held by the largest pro-Israel lobbying group in the U.S., the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

15. Tell me why I should respond to someone who distorts the quote
"If we in Congress don't end this war before January 2009, as president, I will,"

Feel free to vote against her in the primaries but let's not distort what she said.

Hillary Clinton calls Iran a threat to US, Israel
(AP)

2 February 2007

NEW YORK - Calling Iran a danger to the US and one of Israel’s greatest threats, US senator and presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton said no option can be taken off the table’ when dealing with that nation.

US policy must be clear and unequivocal: We cannot, we should not, we must not permit Iran to build or acquire nuclear weapons,’ the Democrat told a crowd of Israel supporters. In dealing with this threat ... no option can be taken off the table.’

Clinton spoke at a Manhattan dinner held by the largest pro-Israel lobbying group in the U.S., the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Some 1,700 supporters applauded as she cited her efforts on behalf of the Jewish state and spoke scathingly of Iran’s decision to hold a conference last month that questioned whether the Holocaust took place.
