It just seems insane .
Many times when I sit here thinking and realize that there are so many of us and yet we allow the few in power to do as they will and we sit back and take it .

I have been honest all my life and I too sit here and allow a few crooks to completely destroy this country to the point where it does not resemble america anymore .

It was a huge mistake to let reagan and bush 1 and nixon off the hook and this pardon thing should be revoked . If we allow bush and his partners in crime to get off then we have failed again .

As just common citizens we pay for our crimes and many are used as examples and this is what needs to be done this time around , anything less is a complete failure once again .

4. I think he means....
that ordinary people have to pay for their crimes while the rich and powerful (i.e, Reagan, Bush I and Nixon) and (and do) get away with just about anything.

I get your interpretation, though.

3. Well, the operative word is power vs. powerlessness and allowing
....thugs to have that power. Then when these powerful thugs take the only protection that the powerless have, the U.S. Constitution and wipe their asses with it and then trample all over it and exercise their power then on the powerless, the powerless will get hurt, suffer, be deprived and possibly die.

The powerless now see the powerful do what they wish with virtual impunity and get away with it because these thugs possess the authority and arrogance to order the use of force against anyone who opposes them. Our elected officials will not risk their security and careers and reputations to fight for the powerless. Unfortunately for all of us, that is what happens when government becomes corrupt.

5.  It all reminds me of
one of the old western movies where the banker is a little weak freak with a few armed thugs and they control the entire town , take their land and the people do nothing out of fear , if they just had the nerve to band together the tables would have turned .

It's not quite the same thing these days but close enough .
