Another Grave Scandal within the 'Knights' of Columbus

Contact: Kenneth Fisher, Founder and Chairman, Concerned Roman Catholics of America (CRCOA), 714-491-2284, crcoa@earthlink.net

ANAHEIM, Calif., June 17 /Christian Newswire/ -- Kenneth Fisher releases the following statement:

I have just heard from John O'Gorman, the Fighting Knight of Columbus from Massachusetts, that the 170,000 signature Initiative Petition to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman was thwarted by the Legislature, meeting in joint Constitutional Convention, on Thursday, June 14 2007. The sad part is it would have passed to go on the ballot in 2008 had it not been for the votes of at least twelve men who call themselves Knights of Columbus who voted against the Church they are supposed to be Knights of, and for the sodomites they support!

They are:

Massachusetts Speaker of the House Sal Dimasi, and House Majority Leader John Rogers.

State Reps: Garrett Bradley, Bob Deleo, Stephen Di Natale, Chris Donelan, Christopher Fallon, Kevin Honan, Charles Murphy, Angelo Puppolo and Bob Spellane.

State Senator: Tom McGee

It only required 50 votes to bring this to the people of Massachusetts for a vote. The vote was 45 to do so. If the twelve so called Knights had voted with the Church, and for the good of society, they would have had FIFTY SEVEN! God have mercy on their much compromised souls!

It seems that the Knights of Columbus, like the Bishops they follow, like to write nice things but run when they are asked to back up their writings with actions! In 2003, they actually passed a Resolution to in effect expel from the Order any Knight who supports abortion by forbidding these persons any honors or speaking platforms. WHAT A JOKE! Actually it is worse than a joke, because we have been told that whenever a Council tried to enforce the Resolution, that Council was quickly told not to do so by either their State or Supreme Offices!

Our Divine Savior had a great deal to say about such as these "Knights" when he said "Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you are like to whited sepulchers, which outwardly appear to men beautiful, but within, are full of dead men's bones, and of all filthiness. So you also outwardly indeed appear to men just; but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.--Matt. XXIII. 25-28. Does anyone wonder what the Lord will say to these men when they stand before His Judgment seat?

This year, the "Knights" of Columbus will hold their annual Supreme Council meeting at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, Nashville, TN. As always, it will be in the first week of August from the 7th to the 9th, 2007. We at Concerned Roman Catholics of America, Inc. are looking for someone from that area to help us plan another demonstration such as the ones we did in 2005 in Chicago and Dallas in 2004. If you or anyone you know is willing to help us in this effort, please contact us at 714-491-2284 or crcoa@dslextreme.com

5. I used to go to Dignity in Chicago years ago.
Then one day after all the crap the pope, et al came out with finally sank in, I decided if they wanted me to be a masochist they'd have to pay me top rates.

Never happened. Now it's only funerals and visits to the more architecturally interesting structures.

May god have mercy on their souls.

7. "First you get down on your knees, fiddle with your rosaries...."
My wife, who was Catholic (now retired), and I have known a woman
in Massachusetts for over 20 years. She teaches school, works with
charity projects in Mexico and Haiti, and is a professional musician
in a local band where she lives. To put it very mildly, a very productive
member of society. She recently got married to her girlfriend. Good for
her/them. If that's a commitment they want to make, who are a bunch of
self-declared cross-bearing ayatollahs to tell them they can't? It's
of some comfort to know that there is such an organization as the
Concerned Cathloics of America as a counter-balance to the Inquisitioners.
It's of less comfort that there needs to be one.

8. Hmmmm. I'm Catholic, and I have NO concerns about gay marriage.
If two people love each other, I really don't understand why the fact that they might be of the same sex should be anyone's concern.

I do not understand homophobia. Maybe it's because my mom has always had lesbian friends, and I grew up around them. I never felt threatened or anything by them. I admit to a feeling of curiosity initially, being a straight woman, but what I witnessed was couples who obviously loved and cared about each other a lot. After a short while, it became a non-issue for me. Would that it be so for others.
