A quote from Roth:
"I would shoot in the Czech Republic over the States any day. There's no unions here, so the dollar goes a lot farther. You can film with kids without the same kind of strict regulations and hassles you get in the U.S."

on note: I wonder if he also appreciates that the Czech Republic police often look the other way when rich foreigners are going to the various establishments to rendevous with kids.

2. I'd agree with you except Quentin Tarantino is his bud
So he'll get lots of work because of it.

3. well, I have Hotel and Cabin Fever, and they are both very, very forgettable... Tarantino, on the
other hand, is one of my favorite directors. I mean, Roth may be a fun guy to hang around with for Tarantino...they seem to have many of the same tastes in film content. Tarantino is an excellent story teller who consistently uses actors with talent. Neither Hostel nor Cabin Fever had decent-quality actors. Both had predictable, boring plots, with lots and lots of gore. Tarantino's movie's well-directed, with creative plots that show a great deal of forethought. Roth's flick's are hack-level 'B' movies, at best.

I think it's great that Quentin has a buddy, though. :hi:

4. I work in a related industry and this is the norm, not the exception
It is actually cheaper to fly an entire production crew to Argentina from all over the world than to film in the US.
