Perhaps the reason Pelosi says
or said that Impeachment is off the table, is because she is not quite ready to become POTUS. You see if we are able to get rid of Bush and Cheney, which is the best scenario, wouldn't that place her at the top? Do I have my facts straight?... It seemed she looked mighty nervous at the SOTU, but I certainly think she is capable to do the job! Much more than Hillary!

1. I think the reason is ...
... the Dems don't want to be seen as venegful or having planned chimpeachment as their #1 Agenda Item ... they want to just reveal the idiocy and crimes against the country that Blivet and his mis-administration have pulled and wait for we the people to fire up the torch n' pitchfork brigade, so then when the hearings start, the Dems can say they were just "adhering to the will of the people".

I'm not holding my breath, but I can dream, right?

3. Does anyone know if there are any plans to re-establish
our rights, repeal the MCA, and to stop current abuses of rights, and the constitution?

4. I think she's playing the whole thing wisely
As Bush becomes more and more deranged, he is becoming more and more of an albatross around the neck of the GOP. I predict it will be the Republiks who go to Nancy and say, "We want to vote on impeachment--now. We don't care if it means we start it--if we don't, there won't be any of us re-elected to Congress!"

6.  I don't get this off the table at all .
Once the dems became the majority right away impeachment flies off the table .

This is not about Pelosi or her call , people tend to forget the constitution while all bogged down in the political rants and who would be the best pick in 2008 .

This should have been the very first thing pursued as if this would be any surprize to bush .

Now they shamble on about the Iraq war resolutions .

Politics is nothing more than a board game with all the pieces floundering about .

There are less than a handful of real people in politics and the rest are players and these should be purged right out to the streets . All of these rock star self promoters waving their arms and writing speeches does nothing for anyone .

Once there is no longer a two party system then just maybe all people will have a voice , until something changes if there is still time then we will see .

Once the survivors of the neclear fallout dust themselves off and start over again that is .

7. first
a simultaneous impeachment of Bush and Cheney will never happen.

The more likely answer for Pelosi's position is that she can count to 67.
