Biden seems to be a good candidate to me...
he knows what he is talking about when it comes to foreign policy, but I want to hear more. I am tired of the media telling me who I am going to vote for. I am looking at everybody and the top two choices are good but their will be problems that I am already tired of hearing about. My real choice is Wes Clark if he gets in.

2. Yes, if it weren't for his role as MBNA's lobbyist [bankruptcy bill].
But he is a smart guy and sensible on foreign policy.

3. Biden voted for the bankruptcy bill.

This bill did nothing for his voting constituents.

This bill did everything for his campaign donors.

8. I seem to hear about the bankruptcy bill ...
everytime his name is brought up, I don't agree with it but I want to hear some more things about him he can't be all bad. We hear things about the other candidates also that I don't agree with but when the next president gets in I don't want the dems having to waste time knocking down nonsense that the Repugs have in their dirty little trick bag.

5. How does THIS Biden "opinion" make you feel?
"Delaware Sen. Joe Biden, a Democratic candidate for president,
criticized Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama today
for voting against funds for the Iraq war.

Their "no" votes "absolutely, positively, unquestionably" could have
put U.S. troops at additional risk, he said on ABC's This Week."

http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2007/06/biden_says_obam.html

I'm sorry, but NO ONE spouting RW bullshit to justify
continuing our bloody illegal occupation of Iraq is a
"good candidate". Not even CLOSE.

6. Have you heard his COMPLETE explaination of that vote? Apparently not
He not only reaffirms that it was his honest belief that the vote would have been harmful to our troops but he has gone so far as to name the progrmas that would have been suspended or delayed and then gone on to give the exact effects it would have on troops in the field. Like it or not the man had what he considered a good reason to vote as he did and the reason was one that any American would agree to if they had the facts.

And that is the real problem. It is the lack of factual coverage that dams us these days, not the absense of well intentioned and smart men.

17. You misunderstand my point.
Edited on Sun Jun-17-07 07:24 PM by Warren Stupidity
It is not relevant if I like Joe Biden or dislike him, what is relevant is that he is either continuing to lie about the occupation in Iraq and the vote to escalate that occupation or he is a complete idiot.

If Biden is the Democratic Party candidate, which is not going to happen, I would have to sit that one out. I will not vote for another war party candidate.

12. It makes me feel like ...
he is a good candidate, just as the others are in there own ways. I will not agree with any of the candidates on all things. I heard him explain why he voted the he did,and I can accept his reasoning on why he voted as he did.

But,I have noticed that everytime I someone brings up Biden as a viable candidate someone brings up a reason not to consider him. I want to hear all of the candidates voices.

of consumers

and no friend of working people

and he has been a piss poor "opposition" Senator (until he decided to run for president and started acting semi-tough)

11. There was only one thing I found wrong with the bankruptcy bill,
and that was not granting an exemption for medical debt. The Dems have already been talking about ammending the law to include that, but I believe we're going to have to wait for a Dem Prez because Shrub said he'd veto it.

I also happen to think Joe is certainly one of the best candidates, if not THE best. I'm angry that so many people are just dismissing him.

14. I don't mind Biden
I think he has a good grasp on foreign policy. His domestic policies I could do without. I forgive him for the bankruptcy bill because of all the credit card companies in his state, but still. I think he would be an OK president overall. I'd certainly vote for him in a GE.

If he had a different name I think that he would be a great VP to Obama. But no one is going to buy OBAMA/BIDEN the corporate press would have a field day.

31. Not My Choice, But I'll Admit That He's Impressed Me More Than I Thought He Would.
When looking at individual candidates and my spread of expectation for them, he's probably had a bigger jump than anyone else has in my opinion. He's actually not all that bad. But unfortunately, I just don't trust him and can't wholeheartedly support him (unless he gets the nod, of course). But he still has impressed me a bit.
