Duty, Honor, Country?....Not anymore. More like.......

Machiavellian, Dishonorable, Disgraceful.

The senior command belong in prison alongside all those that aren't there and should be, if there were justice.

1. How can
an army not be corrupted? It exists to kill people!

2. Maybe you're right.

Maybe it's all a big sham anyway you look at it and all those standards they claim to follow are there for window dressing and to make themselves and others feel good...because when the chips are down, they are no different than the Nazi's during WWII..There is no "honor code" when your life is in the balance.

There's a fine line between being a hero and being a fool. A very fine line.

5. Well, the oath they take is to support and DEFEND the Constitution of the United States, against all
enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC...

It's not the WAR Department anymore, it's the Department of DEFENSE.

They've lost their way.

The ones with integrity either left under their own steam, in disgust (I got on that train) or were forced out.

I hope they'll be able to mend it.

3. They do what they're told. Again I ask the question: why didn't this guy
come out with the truth sooner. So many of these "late bloomers" have so much blod on their hands.

4. I would guess, stress and career worries.
He seemed like he was under a tremendous amount of pressure in those televised hearings.

I'm just so grateful he came out at all.

6. The army was all gung-ho AGAINST the Iraq War. Those that did not support it were...
invited to resign, a la Gen. Shinseki.

Those that wanted to get their proper retirement were told to shut up and play along.

This war is the White House's fault, not the Army's.
