I 'm going to include The Assault on Reason
on my first year students' reading list for the fall semester. What do DUers think. Any chance that a paperback version will be out before September.

1. Doubtful

...on the paperback; however contact the publisher, they may have a "special" class price.

Cheers

4. Also contact a larger retailer or your college bookstore.
B&N will do this in their college stores.

The paperback will not happen before about January, if even then.

2. As to your last question, not a chance.
Hardcover, NF bestsellers almost never go paperback beofre 6 months after initial release, more and more, that's becoming one year.

Even if Gore would want it to go PB sooner, it couldn't without leaving ditributors and retailers with thousands of unsalable hardcovers, so publishers won't even consider it.

3. No way. Write Al and ask him to authorize a school special.

5. see if it's availible as a digital book for download
Because I remember HATING professors who assigned new hardcover books because they cost so fucking much :grr:

Now, a 10 dollar iTunes download for a digital textbook? Grrovy.

7. Why don't you contact the publisher
Maybe he can hook you up with some advance reading copies that weren't distributed.
