Yeah. I buy a stupid lottery ticket once a week. I'm sure I'm the ONLY ONE who does that, here. :7

Anyway, normally my mind fleets from this to that about how I'd use that particular power of money in my life (something I've never had).

Today, I've made up my mind,...about what to dream, what to do,...should I ever *LOL* hit the lottery.

I'd solicit as many people as possible willing to work their asses off distributing a JOINT independent "people-powered democracy" publication.

Okay,...that's the bottom line. My meager winnings wouldn't have an impact compared to the billion-hot-air companies in control. I acknowledge that BUT I could still make a dent.

FIRST, I'd BEG ON MY KNEES for all credible, hard-working journalistic independents to join in my nationwide effort to publish. YES!!! BEG!!!

THEN, I'd BEG ON MY KNEES for all those who are financially caring to help cover the costs of creation and publication.

THEN, I'D BEG ON MY KNEES for any volunteers to help the effort by actually distributing/disseminating the materials.

THEN, I'D BEG ON MY KNEES to all those who worked with me that they ensure my lottery winnings will NEVER be spent dry until the day I die,...or BETTER, until the day they die,...OR BEST, the day our great-great-great children die (the money long gone, just pass on the power).

I'd rather spend $3 to dream than three hours in front of a television SET. At least, I KNOW my dreams are,...in fact,...dreams; rather than questioning whether or not the shit on the screen is fact or fiction.

My dreams carry me a helluva lot betta' than that fiction presented as facts on teevee.

1. I agree, and I'll buy one or two $5 tickets a month when Powerball gets real high

What the fuck?

Oh, and if I win a good deal of the money will go towards getting Al Gore to run for the Presidency and then even more of it will go towards getting him elected.

2. I do that too, but then I try to figure out ways to achieve my dreams, or at least approximate them

without money. That's a fun exercise too, and kind of useful.

Edit to add: And Beezlebud won $675k the other day!

12. Yup. I try with what I have,...and am grateful for that.

At least, I still have the power of my being, here, and able to communicate, without offense, to others my belief in,...well,...THEM to touch the world in loving ways.

On edit: I actually considered editing out "touch" and "loving" because so many don't believe in that kind of "stuff", anymore. I decided against it.

5. Once there was a man who was able to talk to God
He asked God what a million years was to him/her
God said; " it was about a second" to him/her

He asked God what a million dollars was to him/her
God said: "it was worth about a penny".

The man asked God to give him one of those pennies
God said; "Just a second"

16. "It's better to act than to dream."
Was that taken from Martin Luther King's "I Have an Act" speech?

18. Actually, that's precisely what MANY in the civil rights movement
were saying about the I Have a Dream Speech at the time. Read Anne Moody's wonderful "Coming of Age in Mississippi" for precisely this critique, and well-delivered. Never mind that white liberals like to think about MLK's "dream," a kind of airy, floaty sorta thing, rather than the direct ACTION which actually won the day. (Which only proves once again that it's better to act than to dream). Nice try though.

22. How exactly are "acting" and "dreaming" mutually exclusive?
Unable to do both? That limited? Is it not possible to have a dream first to provide a roadmap or guide for action? A life without dreams is not living, it is existing. There is a difference.

8. Why do you need to win the lottery to do this?
Seems like a good plan, even without the winnings. I hope you don't wait for the lottery to carry this out! As for the last point... your publishing empire will have its own rewards. Don't need the lottery for this.

I had a special friend, my neighbor, life-long (and permanently former) Republican buy ME a 5-spot lotto ticket.

Wouldn't it be something, if I won.

24. I have a B.Sc. in Mathematics and ...
... I buy a single lotto ticket when the jackpot gets large. I figure it's up to God whether I win or not ... so I do my part. I don't buy more than one ticket because that'd be insulting Her.
