Shrub: 'I like to be around people who keep expectations low"
President Bush welcomed the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes to the White House on Friday, saying he could relate to the underdog team.

''I like to be around people who keep expectations low,'' the president joked.

(snip)

'One of the interesting things about this team is they have a -- they've got a sign in their locker room that says: `It's not about me. It's about the guy in front of me,' '' Bush said.

another article on the same event:

"One of the interesting things about this team is they have a -- they've got a sign in their locker room that says, 'It's not about me. It's about the guy in front of me,' " Bush said. "One of the reasons they're here is because they understand that when you serve something greater than yourself -- the team or your community -- you become a true champ."

and from the WH itself:

You got a lot of fans here in Washington, D.C. I know you got a lot of fans in Carolina. But you've got two United States Senators who've come to greet you -- Senator Dole and Senator Burr. Thank you for coming. And Congressman Howard Coble. What's that hat say? That's a championship hat?

CONGRESSMAN KOBLE: Championship hat.

THE PRESIDENT: Fine looking lid, isn't it? (Laughter.) I thought you might be wearing that to cover up your bald head. (Laughter.) Yes. (Laughter.) Now you know what I'm talking about. (Laughter.)

What would it be like to have a leader who didn't spew irony every time they opened their mouth? or didn't have open fetishes like bald heads?

2. I'm gonna blame the Curse of Tecumseh
Somehow, yes, we've lost the mandate of heaven. The Chinese believed that the only cure for getting it back was to chnage leaders.

3. bush suffers from his brain cells not developing past......
a three year old. Three year old children are always amazed that someone is bald because they can't understand it. He seems never to have gotten past that with the bald heads. He is a rude, crude individual, of the kind I hate.

5. For what it's worth...
I doubt three-year-olds would be that rude and mean-spirited about it - at least, most of the three-year-olds that I used to babysit. He is a spiteful, arrogant man.
