all the evidence of all the crimes. The White House is the storefront folks. As we have suspected for years, Cheney has been running the government.

The energy task force

Torture

War

Disappearings

Enron

Bin Laden

AQ Khan

Valerie Plame

and, yes

The Motherf@*ker DID 9/11

4. Yes, but they're publishing the sins of the CIA, to make all crimes relative.
Why? After this release, The Unitary Executive will claim that, like those in the past, THEY now can do anything if there's EVIL-DOERS wanting to kill us (always by their definition) and they believe it's in the best interest of "the country." :puke:

The foregoing is EXACTLY how The Unitary Executive will spin the release of this information.

The USA, I thought, stood for a Government of Checks and Balances that was transparent.

However, post 9/11 we're supposed to be happy having these THUGS promise to "keep us safe." :grr:

and whether she understands fully what she's doing (the lies, the betrayal of the American public, the support of Nazis).

I hope to God it comes back to haunt her, til she repents fully and recants totally. And preferrably spills her guts to a War Crimes tribunal.

26. And who do you think was right in the middle of it in 1975?
The documents being released have to do with the investigations of the CIA after Watergate and with what was being covered up. In short, a certain amount of it has got to point straight back at the Dick, in the formative experience that set the pattern for everything he has done since.
http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/6450422/the_curse_of_dick_cheney/

The period between August 1974 and November 1976, when Ford lost the election to Jimmy Carter, is essential to understanding George W. Bush's disastrous misjudgments -- and Dick Cheney's role in them. In both cases, Cheney and Rumsfeld played the key role in turning opportunity into chaos. . . . instead of heeding the country's desire for honesty and reconciliation, Rumsfeld and Cheney convinced Ford that the way to turn himself into a real president was to stir up crises in international relations while lurching to the right in domestic politics.

Having turned Ford into their instrument, Rumsfeld and Cheney staged a palace coup. They pushed Ford to fire Defense Secretary James Schlesinger, tell Vice President Nelson Rockefeller to look for another job and remove Henry Kissinger from his post as national security adviser. Rumsfeld was named secretary of defense, and Cheney became chief of staff to the president. The Yale dropout and draft dodger was, at the age of thirty-four, the second-most-powerful man in the White House.

67. Never heard it quite so well and succinctly put before!
I just wonder if the American public will ever get truly fed up with these thugs being in charge of our government?

Or do a lot of them actually admire the hoods and callous killers, as many seem to do "the Mob"?

American politics has always had its shadowy dark side, of course; but what these bastards have done breaks all rules of acceptable conduct -- and they laugh at us while they do their wicked deeds, since they keep getting away with it all!

How I'd love to see Sneer and Smirk have those evil, warped grins wiped right off their faces....

31. Someone mention Cheney's Bunker?
An underground complex , built by the Department of Defense, as an emergency shelter and electronic control center. Located underneath 650 acres in the hills near the Pennsylvania/Maryland border, Raven Rock, AKA "Site R", reportedly had a full-time staff of 350 for much of the Cold War. Officially now called the Alternate Joint Communications Center, the bunker went on-line in 1954. Representatives of all the military departments and the Joint Chiefs of Staff for the federal government were reportedly located here as a contingency against a wipeout of the command structure in the event of a nuclear war. The site has 700,000 square feet of interior space, and enough room for 3,000 people. A new tenant is the Defense Information Systems Agency, Western Hemisphere, which operates the communication and command center located in the bunker. It is still used as a Continuity of Government location, and Dick Cheney is said to have stayed here after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. Site R was supported by nearby Fort Ritchie, MD, a 638 acre Army post, with over 2,000 employees. It is now administered out of Fort Detrick, MD.

63. D & Q has been my dream as well...
at high noon in front of the Capitol, all pieces then dragged the length of the Mall by teams of administration appointees - including some SCOTUS members - to be televised live, world-wide feed, with slo-mo instant replay.
 Maybe drop the parts in the big cat cages at the Zoo. Mmmmmmm!
PS - NSA readers, can't ya take a joke? BTW, Buck Foosh first and then Dick Chain-y :toast:

50. Yes!!!
"THE Motherf@*ker DID 9/11.

I honestly think that's why Cheney is probably sh*tting himself right now.

In a court of law there is enough evidence to convict Cheney - means. motive. opportunity. behavior on the day-of. etc. etc.

58. This Is What I Say
Edited on Sat Jun-23-07 01:02 PM by Mark D.
When folks say this administration had nothing to do with 9/11. At the very least, if you don't think
they did it, they sat & let it happen knowing it was the "Pearl Harbor" PNAC wanted, (the Project for
a New American Century, which Cheney and Rumsfeld and other Neo-Cons were a part of). If they'd
still question reality I give them this scenario here & it works as there is nothing "tin hat" about it...

Would the richest country in the world allow two low and slow flying planes, tracked for as long as
they are in the air, to hit the 2 buildings most representing that wealth in its greatest financial
district with no fighter planes in the air. Then LATER, allow another even lower & slower flying &
better tracked plane (after we've been hit, twice) to cruise over its capital, and eventually get
to the EPICENTER of its defenses (the 'greatest' of such defenses in the world, or, at least the
most highly privately funded, with crumbs and empty slogans going to the troops), and hit it...
(the Pentagon) with no fighter planes, or anti-aircraft guns in operation, given all the reason to?

ONLY IF IT WANTED IT TO HAPPEN. "IT" being folks in charge...who ignored advanced warnings.
Yeah, they have their NORAD stand-down training excuse, but we know who ordered it that day.
If they don't get it at that point, then they're just idiots, and all clinging to their pure ignorance.
Planned & carried out, or just supported and allowed, either way, *they* wanted it to happen...
If they deny this is a Rove/Cheney administration with its spokesmonkey George, they're idiots.
Corporations are running America...and they've never had better friends than those three goons.

60. I would go so far as to say that Dimson got used, too ...
... Darth was the "head" of the GOP VP selection-crew and chose himself.
What does that say about having a pressing need to get into office & execute a specific agenda, eh?

I know Dimson is nowhere near as folksy and stupid as he likes people to think he is, but I
really think he got played like a fiddle by Dick and his cloak and dagger/world-domination pals.

81. I agree with that
And I suspect it probably wasn't until 9/11 when he was sitting in the classroom that the light bulb went off in his head and he started to clue in as to what the Dick and his neocon pals had hidden up their sleeve.

86. The best line I ever read on DU - "you don't steal elections to do good things"
I always felt that the parade of VP interviews was designed to avoid scrutiny on himself. Then at the right time he picked himself.

89. thanks folks
it helps to know the acronym.

i'm generally for the incompetent bureaucrats, narrowminded pursuit of oil and saddam, and feel that even osama bin laden was taken aback / caught unawares by the plots of some very shrewdly organized and pakistani funded operatives.

that means I'm for LIHOP.

72. He's a world-class war monger and war profiteer.
He has no conscience, sense of public duty, or respect for the Constitution. There does seem to be an end game underway. I really see no other way out of this dilemma than Congress voting articles of impeachment on Cheney.

If he is guilty of treasonous war crimes...why are we allowing this man to continue to direct US policy? This country cannot continue to allow him to create the conditions that could lead to more 9/11's here, a jump start to declare martial law and the beginnings of a real dictatorship.
