Who are America's Leading Terrorists? This is a "Name a Terrorist" thread.
Researching GOP politicos on the "dark side" leads to expectedly nefarious actors, and in an Abramoff article, I just stumbled on a comment about a non-profit organization that raised money for the Contras. That conjured this thread idea, naming Republicans whose terrorist activities are known. Of course, if you can find a Democrat who has terrorized the world, name them too. After all, the dark side is the dark side, below the right-left line! Here is the mention I found:

"Carl Channell and Richard Miller's "National Endowment for the Preservation of Liberty (NEPL)? ... was the non-profit conduit used to solicit funds from "sympathetic Americans' to purchase weapons for the Contras.

Extra points if the terrorists you name are using a tax exempt organization so donors can deduct their terrorism expenses from their taxes!

2. Having said that-I do not think it wise to throw that label around.

5. Funding purchasing weapons for mercenary armies attempting to overthrow a government
certainly merits the label. Perhaps some discussion of what is an appropriate use of the term "terrorist" could be a useful sub-thread here. Reagan gave us the usage in our political venacular, so some of that determination should rely on his usage.

Are the Sandinista terrorists on the Texas border yet? Rhetoric to haunt Freeepers.

6. With genuine respect, being polite never changes things.
Those who make a difference, "Comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable."

Our founding fathers were ANYTHING but appropriate. To honor them and our beloved Constitution we must continue to insist that we hold King George Accountable.

I also think that the M$M is borderline treasonous. That's not a label but the honest to God's unvarnished truth.

I'm not sure, but with all the people wearing a picture of Bush and the title "International Terrorist" I doubt that this guy will get much more than a secret service visit, if that.

People KNOW what's going on. It's all the Unitary Executive can do to keep the lid on all the lies at this point. The only thing that's propping them up now is their whores who constitute the USA's MSM.

When Tweety's spinning like a top on steroids, I know that all's not well with the ruling class.

That says it all, as the subpoenaed White House goes into siege mentality, hiring more lawyers with our tax dollars.

Admitting one's mistakes, and taking responsibility for them is not an easy thing.

The MSM is there only to make sure GW does not get the bad news! Everyone else knows!

9. They throw it around casually.
Eco-terrorists, animal rights terrorists, & yesterday I heard "home grown terrorist" used for a group I would call gang members. How long before we become known as liberal terrorists?

4. These two corporations and the top executives who run them
..."Two U.S. corporations operating in war-torn Colombia -- Chiquita Brands International and Drummond Company Inc. -- have been accused of aiding far-right paramilitary groups with alleged ties to the Colombian government. They are facing charges in two separate suits filed in U.S. district courts by plaintiffs seeking justice for human rights abuses."

10. According to definitions of terrorism that fits the current situation:
1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes.
2. the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.
3. a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government.

America's current leading terrorists are a trifecta: Bush, Cheney, Rove.

It's my guess that Cheney believes that Rove and Bush will eventually become expendable.
