Aid To Saudi Arabia????

What the heck kind of "aid" are we giving them anyway? And why? I thought we gave aid to those in need. My friggen tax dollars are going to "aid" one of the richest countries in the world???

House votes to ban aid to Saudi Arabia

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives voted on Friday to prohibit any aid to Saudi Arabia as lawmakers accused the close ally of religious intolerance and bankrolling terrorist organizations.

The prohibition, reflecting persistent tensions with the kingdom after the September 11 attacks on the United States in 2001, was attached to a foreign aid funding bill for next year that has not yet been debated by the Senate.

In the past three years, Congress has passed bills to stop the relatively small amount of U.S. aid to Saudi Arabia, only to see the Bush administration circumvent the prohibitions.

for American citizens, for the reconstruction of NO, or for medicine for the elderly, it's all good. Right? I mean next we'll be sending the United Arab Emirates a check.

It's really bribe money and normally the way our government operates is we first offer some little dictator a bribe to do our bidding and if he accepts we consider him friendly but if he refuse or renege we send in the military to "liberate" his country.
