Need some help defending a soldier against Freep Attack.
Sorry to be redundant or pushy but the link below should take you to an editorial that was written by a SOuth carolina soldier in Iraq, in favor of political dissent. The editorial had been posted at Free Republic with his military e-mail attached and, although hs is stationed in the conflict, he is being swamped with hate e-mail from the right wing-nuts at FR. If anyone could please drop this guy a note of encouragement it would be appreciated. I can tell you as a South Carolina liberal, this sort of hate e-mail can get one down while in the US, but I couldn't imagine it while in a war zone.

1. The irony encased in the conservative mind
Practicing vitriolic dissent against one who advocates the right of dissent for all citizens. And to one in a war zone being attacked by the chickenhawks who have never done anything for our country.

The constitution means nothing to bush supporters.

I don't know this guy but he is from the upstate of SC which is the most right wing of the land of right wingers. It is the home of Bob Jones University, and home region of right wing Sen DeMint.

It takes guts to serve in the military during war, but real heroism and backbone to stand-up to the right wing when you are from the upstate of SOuth Carolina.

to send hate mail to an us.army.mil address... depending on the content...threats,threatening language etc.

the AKO administrators can handle harassing emails..and CID can and will handle the other.
