3. If I did it, this is how. (Apologies to O.J. Simpson.)
1) Record the show on my Tivo.

2) Hook the Tivo into my digital camcorder with "pass through" conversion. This turns the video into digital form and spits it out on the camcorder's FireWire cable.

3) Plug the FireWire cable into my computer.

4) Play back the Tivo, and record it all on my computer's hard drive as an AVI file.

5) Edit the video, cutting out commercials and other junk, using the video editor.

6) When done editing, convert the video to a form YouTube can use. (I haven't done this, so from this point on it's theoretical.)

7) Upload the file to YouTube.

8) Wait for NBC's lawyers to come and sue my ass for uploading copyrighted video.
