The Philosophy of Dick "Deadheart" Cheney: "If I'm Going, You're All Going With Me" --->>>
Edited on Wed Jun-27-07 12:15 AM by Stephanie

Cheney is depressed, paranoid, petulant and megalomaniac. If he and his sick heart have to go, why should anyone else survive?

Leaving No Tracks
By Jo Becker and Barton Gellman

http://blog.washingtonpost.com/cheney/chapters/leaving_no_tracks/index.html

<excerpt>

In Oregon, a battleground state that the Bush-Cheney ticket had lost by less than half of 1 percent, drought-stricken farmers and ranchers were about to be cut off from the irrigation water that kept their cropland and pastures green. Federal biologists said the Endangered Species Act left the government no choice: The survival of two imperiled species of fish was at stake.

Law and science seemed to be on the side of the fish. Then the vice president stepped in.

First Cheney looked for a way around the law, aides said. Next he set in motion a process to challenge the science protecting the fish, according to a former Oregon congressman who lobbied for the farmers.

Because of Cheney's intervention, the government reversed itself and let the water flow in time to save the 2002 growing season, declaring that there was no threat to the fish. What followed was the largest fish kill the West had ever seen, with tens of thousands of salmon rotting on the banks of the Klamath River.

Characteristically, Cheney left no tracks.

The Klamath case is one of many in which the vice president took on a decisive role to undercut long-standing environmental regulations for the benefit of business.

By combining unwavering ideological positions -- such as the priority of economic interests over protected fish -- with a deep practical knowledge of the federal bureaucracy, Cheney has made an indelible mark on the administration's approach to everything from air and water quality to the preservation of national parks and forests.

2. That's shrub's* attitude also, but I think between the two Dick Cheney
...could order the bombing of major American cities and then appear on Sunday morning news shows saying, "My belief is we will, in fact, be greeted as liberators by the survivors."

4. Remewmber M.A.D?
Mutually assured Destruction?

Psychopaths are are the kind of trash who think up shit like this. They are the assholes who must WIN at any cost, even if it is to destroy life itself.

THE FLIGHT FROM THE HUMAN CONDITION

People go to war to defend many things. It is sane to defend our lives and homelands against those who would take them from us. But the engines of destruction in human affairs are often fueled by a defensiveness of a different kind.

Contrary to rationalist and materialist assumptions about the human motivation, what we human beings seem most ferocious in defending are certain beliefs we hold - or want to hold - about ourselves. We are not weak, we insist, nor are we insignificant. We most emphatically are not evil. Nor, we declare, are we confused or bewildered. It is in defense of these beliefs that we have so often been ready to kill and to die. This helps explain why the warrior spirit has been tinged with madness. For these beliefs about ourselves we defend so zealously we inwardly sense to be false
