When Lions, Buffaloes and Crocodiles Attack—At the Same Time
Edited on Wed Jun-27-07 02:45 AM by undergroundpanther
An amazing video..all I can say is..holy shit! It takes a few minutes to get to the drama..I sure wouldn't want to be the Buffalo caught between lions and a croc..,The Buffaloes were upset at the calf being caught. The lions tried to stand their ground and hold onto dinner against an angry herd and crocodiles, trying to get a stolen dinner. Those lionesses got guts that's for sure.I would have ran away sooner than they did.A wall of sharp horns or a lake full of crocodiles. Nature is sickening ain't it? A vivid example of why we seem to be born feeling insecure, and we don't got claws or horns. We run slow. So we made"civilization"And with nature kept at bay we are now smart and bored enough so we fuck up each others lives now.Oh the Irony.

1. That was just awesome.
The lioness getting flipped up in the air like a beanbag was probably my favorite part. I guess sometimes the prey strikes back, huh?

Amazing that the calf got up and walked away from that, though. By all rights it should have been dead.

Those buffalo certainly did take revenge on the lions. I've never seen anything like it...

2. People who think animals have no emotions
Edited on Wed Jun-27-07 03:45 AM by undergroundpanther
Don't make war on other species and suffer some of the same emotional anguish at the conditions this world makes us all endure.. like having to hunt and catch food to live and die anyway ,or to see your offspring be hunted, Animals and people dissociate and basically vacate the body when traumas overwhelm them. People that deny this are fools.

Scientists even had to research if fish feel pain or not.Of course fish feel pain. And you don't need a team of scientists to prove it, just go fishing. Catch one, yank the fishhook out of the lip of a fish. He will squirm as you start move the hook and he will react to the hook's movements .After you get it out he will flex his lips and he will be eyeing the hook as you put it away and look very scared. And he will go kinda weak in your hand(dissociated). But once he hits water he's outta there.

Fish feel love too, I had a sunfish I found looking kinda sick at a local pond I took him in and helped him get better.I got to like this fish.. He liked to be hand fed,and he would thump the tank lid when I came home. When he saw me come in he got happy. Why? To get attention.I think he envied the cat, the cat got pet first when I came in, he would glare at the cat, the cat glared back.It was funny.

When I finally got to the tank I'd pop the lid,and gently rub the sides of his body(avoiding the lateral line it's sensitive) and skritch the very top of his head with my fingers as he hovered in the water eating it up..He would curl his tail fin on my wrist in response.Blow little bubbles it was amazing to everyone who saw this. That a fish could be affectionate.

I had three different kinds of fish that loved to be touched. One was an oscar, the other was a kissing fish. And if you are patient and observant and honest about what you are seeing, you cannot deny the emotional lives of animals, not even fish.

4. You've got that right...

"We run slow. So we made 'civilization.' And with nature kept at bay we are now smart and bored enough so we fuck up each others lives now. Oh the Irony."

When everything you need is just down the 'parkway' at the Strip Mall, and you've grown tired of sitting down watching other people have lives on a flat screen, well what do you do?
