Suspected Tooele bomb maker caught

Tooele City Police detectives have arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of making bombs with the intent to distribute the devices.

According to Lt. Paul Wimmer, Kevin Reeder was arrested in his home, a travel trailer on a lot at 319 East 600 North, on Saturday afternoon.

Investigators got a tip, while working on another case, that the suspect could make a bomb with enough force to blow up a car, Wimmer said. Police staked out Reeder's residence, and with the information gathered during the investigation, obtained an arrest warrant. snip

"I think he'd build a bomb for anyone with a few bucks," Wimmer said, adding that there was no indication at the scene as to how Reeder intended to use the bombs.
