Congresswomen Maxine Waters, Barbara Lee, and Lynn Woolsey dropped in on an "Impeach the President" book event on Tuesday. Dennis Loo, Barbara Bowling, Larry Everest and I spoke. During Q&A, the 3 of them rushed in between votes, and made a prepared statement of reading the 3 articles of impeachment (H Res 333). They were very warm and enthusiastic, told us to go on and build a political movement. They said they had been opposed to impeachment until recently, when they began to understand impeachment is the way to end the war!

It was really encouraging. Maxine said she's speaking on July 4 at the opening in LA of the impeachment center. Now we need to get the others doing so.

And on Monday night in New York former Congressman Major Owens called for us to "lay siege" to Nadler's and Conyer's offices. He had a pretty well thought through plan, with dates. I'm trying to get a meeting with him to discuss his participation. He said Conyers would "welcome you" if you sat in his office demanding impeachment.

Impeachment will rid us of the mother fuckers in the white house AND it will bring our troops home.

Can we just have a tri-presidency, with the three of them being co-presidents?

I'd cast an enthusiastic vote!

I'd like to see one of them, or a Democrat of their caliber, as running mate to whoever gets the nomination.

That's a great chant!

It does sound like movement forward towards ending this war. And I'm all for that. Bring them home.

Oh PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, let's end the nightmare.
