Dems MUST challenge the talking point. It's not either an escalation or immediate withdrawal.

It was repeated over and over on the talk programs this morning and not one Dem shut them down. These are not the ONLY choices. Why are the Dems not hitting back with "those are the Publican choices" I see many, many, more options?

I don't get it. Why are WE allowing THEM to control the dialog. Get some huevos, go on the attack!

1. Withdrawal IS the only option
Staying the course is BS. The course sucks.

2. Agreed but, I don't hear most of the Dems calling for "precipitous" withdrawal. That is the Publican
framing, not the Dem framing. We have to call them on the b.s. While I personally want to have immediate and total withdrawal, I don't think most Dems do. There are other options but what keeps being presented by the press and the pukes is either/or.

3. The same reason they didn't repeatedly state
This mess is Bush's War! How can we fix the problems he created if here is still in power only to push for an escalation in Iraq and on into Iran.

4. In fact, the paucity of choices
from the 'publiCONs shows extremely poor problem-solving ability.

5. Every time they are asked that question - escalation/immediate withdrawal, they must respond, "no,
you are not asking the right question" and then go on to explain why is is a phony choice, that there are many options and it is only the Publicans (who obvously lack imagination or critical thinking abilities) that are making that the choice. It must be made clear the Publicans are short sighted and lacking in creativity. Many Dems do explain it well when they are questioned but we need to SHUT THE QUESTION DOWN IN THE BEGINNING. It's called framing and they are once again allowing the Publicans to frame the discussion!

6. I strongly agree
This "false dichotomy" should be used against them.
