Hubby just made some crack about it being the international focus of "Al-kay-aida" to get at the "mini-putt" in Enid, Oklahoma (our Freeper-like relatives live there)(he's just supposing). So, those in the middle of the wheat fields in Kansas and Oklahoma had better look out ... for the smell of gasoline (I guess). I'm sure that we'll be getting a warning telephone call from the relatives soon.

We're out here in SoCal (Thank, One-Consciousness!)!

is it true that Enid, Oklahoma is the cultural mecca of the world (that it has the best orchestra - better than the New York Philharmonic - and the world's most beautiful women, and the best library). That's what I hear in any case.

I have plenty of very well-informed friends in both Oklahoma and Kansas ... but I do not count said relatives as being in that well-informed group. Some of what they say just boggles my mind sometimes. One of their best buddies, in the nursing home, has a signed picture of * on the wall above her bed. The in-laws went to visit her, when my hubby was visiting, and he, along with his uncle (visiting from Pennsylvania), almost spewed vomit. I guess she's the local Republican party honcho.

I'm not welcome in Enid ... after 'the email,' in which I talked about how much fun my daughter and I had riding in the gay pride parade in San Diego with PFLAG to support our GLBT friends.
