2. I didn't get it either, but I assumed they meant that song is Bon Jovi's "national anthem"

16. which explanation?
the link to the Wikipedia article seems to support what it sounded like to me (that it was Bon Jovi's anthem). I think that linking it to bush's remarks about Bin Laden is a stretch, especially if this is how Bon Jovi often introduces the song.

12. Joke, right?
As far as I can find, NJ is the one state that has no anthem.

13. Joke, sort of. A lot of folks from New Jersey would vote for the
Bon Jovi or, alternatively, "Born to Run."

I used to live there. How about you?

18. I was born and raised there.
Moved to SoCal in 1981 and haven't exactly participated in NJ culture since then. :D

Thanks for the update!

19. Hearing Bon Jovi made me nostalgic for those five malls
looking for a town, aka Paramus!

Those were good days.

I made arrangements to meet a friend there one time when I was visiting and got sooooooo lost in that mall maze! LOL

21. Easy enough to do.
I had trouble navigating the intersection of route 4 and 17. It took me several tries before I could reliably start on 4 west and end up on 17 south, where, I believe, the entrance to the Garden State Center was. I always ended up north on 17 and on my way to the old Fortunoff's, where I did not want to be.

22. That was a few years ago.

It was never familiar turf for me and I haven't been back in that neck of the woods since.

I usually shuttle between my parents' place near Watchung and other relatives in South Jersey, with a day or two in NYC.

One trip a year, then back to the West Coast. :)

23. Sounds like you're happy on the West Coast.
I'm down in D.C. but don't get back to the NJ/NY area much anymore.

Say hello to it for me when you're up there.

South Jersey is really nice, too. I had a friend who spent some time in the prosecutor's office in Bridgeton in deep S. Jersey. It was a really nice little town.

11. ok here is an explanation from wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wanted_Dead_or_Alive_(Bon_Jovi_song)

Due to its amazing popularity, Jon Bon Jovi declares this song to be their national anthem in some of their concerts today.

14. Yep...that;'s what it is...
It's a tradition for Bon Jovi with Wanted.

However, I like the idea of it being a dig against Bush. I know that Jon and the band are no fans of the man (bush). He's made some comments about Bush before.

Of course anyone with a half of a brain wouldn't be a fan of bush either.
