Herald Sun (Australia): Gore's revival a CONVENIENT TRUTH
July 09, 2007 12:00am - THE big question everyone is asking about eco-warrior Al Gore is: will he run for president? Mr Gore's image has undergone a huge reinvention and his political stocks are soaring after Live Earth. The former US vice-president and unsuccessful 2000 presidential hopeful could make another tilt at the White House in 2008.

Gone is the wooden, monotone Mr Gore, replaced by a charismatic and at-ease eco-warrior crusading around the globe to warn of the dangers of climate change. The Washington Post this year described him as the coolest vice-president and he has even gained the nickname "the Goracle" for his environmental work.

Mr Gore picked up an Oscar for his documentary An Inconvenient Truth. His book, The Assault on Reason, is on the bestseller list, and he is in the running for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.

He was introduced to the Live Earth crowd in New Jersey by actor Leonardo DiCaprio as a "global messenger of hope when we most need it" to deafening applause. It could be a sign.

4. He's not the only one who's fallen out of love with politics
but he is the only one who could change that on a national level.

Here's to hope. :toast:

5. At this point, Al is the only one that might help me and others like myself fall back in love again.
:hi:

I never felt more joy at the prospect of someone as our next President than watching Al Gore this weekend at Live Earth....He is in my opinion the only one who can unite the world and tackle the issues we need to and to gain the support needed around the world to do it too.

President Gore should have been in the White House in 2000....is it possible to right a wrong? Is it possible to show the world what could have been had we not had the disaster named George W. for the last 7 years???
