1. Me neither. Wouldn't mind some stronger words right now however.
And I'm sitting in her district right now.

Although I live in the 12th district to the south (Lantos).

3. i think that's right, i've done poli work for her some years back now...
she would always come down & talk to us, make sure we were all hanging in there, drink a bit of coffee, eat donuts with us...years & years ago now, maybe i am 'considered', but i want the best for her i want the best for all of us

8. I love Pelosi...
I used to live in her district, and I supported way back then.

When she ascended to the speakership, I cried. It was a great moment for this nation.

She's doing a great job in very difficult times.

9. The Concept Of Doing So Is As Misguided As Anything I've Seen Yet.
She's a good Dem. Frustration is one thing. Rooting for an independent to unseat her is another. It shows how damaging to objectivity and reason that extremism can be.

27. Exactly.
Why anyone would wish for Cindy or any other independent to defeat a Democrat, especially Nancy Pelosi, just boggles the mind.

To take the ludicrous suggestion to its natural conclusion, it would mean the neophyte Sheehan sits as an independent with no experience, no influence, no knowledge of what the hell she's doing, and it would mean one less Dem seat, the Speaker's position goes to another Dem (NOT to sheehan, obviously, since she'd be a lame independent), and .. oh yeah, Cindy finds out how ridiculously outclassed and hopelessly unintelligent she actually is, and makes yet another dramaqueen exit ... :eyes:

11. Me neither.
I think a lot of people on DU had unrealistic expectations about the aftermath of the 06 elections (to say the least).

I'd certainly vote for her against, uh, Cindy Sheehan.

13. I wouldn't lose any sleep about this one.
I know too many people involved in the Pelosi machine (a friend of mine throws frequent fundraisers in her house right around the corner from the Pelosis) and they are watching this with no lack of mirth.

I find it sad for some reason.

17. She has frustrated me at times
and I disagree about taking impeachment off the table...

But I don't think she's the enemy. She didn't get us into this war. And she faces a very difficult job. And frankly as far as the opposition is concerned (either Cindy Sheehan or a republican dominated congress), I'll take her in a second.

29. Hardly anyone here knows Nancy's district it an't gonna happen it is
Guerrilla theater by Cindy and to me it makes damn good sense to me.
Nancy needs to see there is something else that was brought by the party
and the people to the table of democracy. It is guerrilla theater

Nancy's seat is solid don't worry about it, it is political theater..

35. It is an effective means of political discourse
When I went to Jr. College during the Vietnam War
we set up a people's army table next to the marine's table at our
free speech area in California. They were almost friendly to our views
against the war. They saw the theater we were doing and enjoyed it.

unfortunately my health doesn't allow me to anything except on DU a little locally and the net.

I was a Grossmount Jr. college at the same time you were at De Anza
I still try to keep that humor.
