4. Rudy sure doesn't do a good job a picking people, does he?
When he was Mayor he chose Kerick, and then later recommended him to Shrub, then the oops factor kicked in. Then his SC campaign chair had to quit on drug charges. Now his Southern campaign leader is generating lots of bad publicity!

Somebody said, pay close attention to the people a candidate surrounds himself with because that's the kind of people he'll put in his cabinet! This sure tells Me a lot about Rudy!

18. Plus, his NYC Campaign Manager John D'Amato Dies Suddenly
John D’Amato – a fixture in Staten Island politics – died suddenly Saturday.

D'Amato's family says he died of a heart attack while jogging on Staten Island.

He was currently running former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani's presidential campaign in the city. Along with Giuliani, D'Amato, 52, worked with several other New York Republicans over his career, including Councilman James Oddo and Staten Island Borough President James Molinaro.

20. Both sides of oxycontin?
D'Amato was apparently lead plaintiff lawyer against Oxycontin, and, as we know, Rudy represented the maker of Oxycontin at least in negotiations with the government over their criminal indictment. Is this just politics making strange bedfellows? Hmmmm.

7. "republicon sexual deviancy is nothing new." - Jeff Gannon
"I mean, if a notorious male prostitute like me can visit George AWOL Bush's White House over 200 times* with several overnights, and ABC and the rest of the corporate media just poo poos it and never really reports it, then that proves that we are NORMAL republicon sexual deviants and that you Citizens of the United States of America should just sit down and shut the fuck up and do what our beloved republicon-corporate borg tells you."

11. L. Ron Hoover and the First Church of Appliantology.
You should learn German. A lot of the really good appliances come from there.

God, I really miss Zappa.

19. Here's Frank on Bush 41, and it could be applied to Bush 43 directly:
From 1991, http://www.planetzappa.com/articles/tore/article2.html

Zappas political ambitions is connected with the fact that he so genuinely dislike George Bush and his administration.

"Bush is a disaster", Zappa means.

"He's incapable of solving problems, but an expert on creating them."

The war against Iraq is, quoting Zappa, "just another in the long row of american misjudgments."

"All the time during the long war between Iraq and Iran, the US was on Saddam Hussein's side. So if he is monster now, he is a monster the American government has been involved creating."

Q: Do you think the picture western media is supplying on Saddam is correct?

"Do I think he is an evil human being? Yes, he most likely is. But we musn't be lead to believe that he is the only one of his kind in that area. The sheiks in Kuwait and in Saudi Arabia aren't exactly democratic activists themselves, are they?"

guitar. I've been a Zappa fan since about 1968. I miss him too. Thanks for the link.

13. No kidding - did Rudi meet him at the brothel?
And seeing that each had women as an important piece of their political outlook working together seemed inevitable.
It is almost as if fate is going out of its way to make Rudi look bad. As if he needed help.
