We need to stop investigations and start passing bills...NOT!!!

This may be old news...but I was sans access last week.

Press Briefing by Scott Stanzel
Room 450
Dwight D. Eisenhower Executive Office Building

12:38 P.M. EDT

MR. STANZEL: Good afternoon, everybody. Happy July 5th. Hope you all had a wonderful Independence Day. I don't have anything off the top, so I'll take your questions.

...snip...

In terms of Congress and their remarkably low poll numbers, historically low poll numbers, we think that a lot of the reason for that is people don't see that Congress is addressing the real issues of the day. They're more interested in investigations; they're more interested in political mud fights than they are in actually getting real legislation passed.

...snip...

That is right Mr. Stanzel, my displeasure with Congress has nothing to do with the Criminal Actions of the "Shrub-Tones and the Impossibles" and more to do with the fact that I do not feel enough PORK is being laddled into the excessive amount of bills that are not being passed because they are too busy investigating such silly things like...illegal wire-tapping, torture, missing money, the WAR, lies, etc, etc, etc...ad nauseum.

Thanks you Mr. Stanzel for being such a brilliant clairvoyant and reading my mind and the mind of EVERY other person in this country. We thought we were not being heard.

Now kindly stand on your head and STFU...while we impeach your boss.

Peace.

I edited the title because I thought it might be seen as a slam...my apologies...edited again to be inclusive and just say WE...sorry again...

1. I disagree
to a point. The problem is the Senate. Any bill they are likely to pass will be so watered down as to be useless, not to mention laden with corporate pork.

The one bill that needed to be passed immediately was the minimum wage increase, and it cost them funding the war for 6 more months.

While the House can grandstand and send the bills that really need to be passed to the Senate, people need to realize that few of them will survive intact for Stupid's veto pen.

However, continuing the investigations is vital. Building up more and more contempt of Congress citations is vital. All of this is the kind of paper trail that can lead to impeachment.

Stupid will have to start watching his step very carefully when it comes to starting more wars and stealing money from widows and orphans to fund this one.

2. Bad title...sorry.
The point I was trying to make is that I am amazed to be living in Twilight Zone where they can read my thoughts about why I am unhappy with what is happening in Washington...

...I did edit the title and add the word NOT...and took out congress and added just a generic we...

I just needed to get that off my mind, it had been bothering me since I saw it on CSPAN last week.

Peace.

4. Seems as though the 110th. Congress has passed more legislation than the 109th. did in the same
amount of time and has held 100% more investigations.
