I just heard that as an as for a "special report" on the local news for tomorrow night. I'll check it out and report back. They should post the video on their website after the 10:00 PM CDT braodcast:

5. LOL.
Can you imagine THAT in the White House?

It's not going to happen, anyway. But it's fun to think about.

(And we thought Nancy Reagan was hell. :) )

11. A cow chip throwing contest?
Man, that woman has had so much plastic surgery--she's got eyes in the back
of her head. She can back up her Escalade without turning around!

10. I generally think of the "trophy wife"
as being the second, much younger, wife of an old rich guy.

13. Why is a bimbette half one's age considered a "trophy"? It's a hood ornament at best.
A "trophy" is supposed to denote accomplishment, so a trophy wife would be a beautiful person in more or less the same age group, with intellect and accomplishments near to or exceeding your own.

And of course, mutual love is always a plus. Anyone still remember love?

15. I object to the terminology, but if it's Mrs Kucinich, I say bring it on!
Having read about them and how they met, there's no way I could consider Elizabeth a "trophy wife". She might be beautiful, but beyond that, she's intelligent and compassionate and is a perfect fit for Dennis. I could only dream to be so lucky.

17. I think they're trying to piggyback on the column Connie Schultz wrote in the Plain Dealer
in which she in general defended Fred Thompson's wife, Elizabeth Kucinich, and any other much-younger companion of an older man, implying that if younger women with older men make 40something and 50something women feel bad about themselves, that's just too bad. We shouldn't be passing judgment on these women based on their youth and looks.

Of course, that's easy for Connie to say. No one's ever going to call her "Sherrod Brown's trophy wife."
