The Math That Matters...
The failure of the Webb Ammendment opens a window onto where the "soul" of the GOOP party stands on continuing the bloodletting and profiteering in Iraq.

Yesterday's vote peeled away a few more nervous stomaches...

Senators Norm Coleman, Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, John Sununu, Chuck Hagel, Gordon Smith and John Warner

56 people voted For...up from only Hagel and Smith standing with Democrats last May. We're now 5 votes shy of breaking a fillibuster and 11 from over-riding a veto and really bringing the troops home.

The pressure needs to be applied to get those 5 votes...especially from Repugnicans who have said they have "reservations" like Lugar or Alexander...double-talkers who should be facing pressure for their fence-sitting and obstructionism. There are others who fit this description as well.

5 votes opens the door to getting all bills to the floor for up or down votes...putting Repugnicans on the record, enabling bills passed by Pelosi and others in the House to procede and then forcing boooshie to veto. Right now he's hiding behind McConnell and his enablers and it's led to many turning on Democrats as being "too timid" or appeasing.

It's time to focus on hanging this invasion and shame on those who not only were responsible for making it happen and profiting from it...but now stand in the way of what an overwhelming majority of the American people want. The end of the Iraq madness.

5 votes stand in the way of the debate so badly needed...and now!

lived in MN for a bit and if he does not start smelling the shit, he will end up in the toilet, politically speaking.

2. He Saw His Latest Fundraising Numbers
Franken outraise him... :bounce:

Normie knew he was elected on a fluke and is one of the biggest Democratic targets next year.

I agree...this lizard will try to slither free of the shit, but he's toast.

Senator Franken??? It may just happen.

5. The Frustration Is Frustrating...
Thank you for the kick...I don't post these things often.

I'm frustrated seeing people frustrated and not directing their anger and angst at what's really creating the obstructions. Most of us stand together on so many issues and our differences are nuance rather than substance.
