Terror in Glasgow? Scots Are Perplexed

Despite the questions raised by the June 30 attack, Glasgow went about business as usual, holding its annual Orange parade on Saturday, where some 10,000 marchers commemorated the 1690 Battle of the Boyne.

2. The irony is:
the message of the story is that Glaswegian protestants are not so terrified by religious fanatics' violent intimidations that they wouldn't celebrate and participate in the agressive intimidation of another religious group.

The point of these marches is that protestants march through catholic neighborhoods as an act of intimidation.

The headline could have read "Glawegians aren't so terrified that don't feel comfortable terrifying people."

If anything, the recent acts of terrorism should make Glaswegians reflect on thevalue of celebrating and perpetuating intersectarian conflict.
