Now old "Blood-and-Guts" Chambliss is lecturing Jim Webb on how to protect a nation. Saxby calls Jim's proposal (a bill which was seconded by the 300,000 plus members of the Retired Military Officers organization) to afford our troops time off after extended combat tours, "defeatist". Yep, old "Blood-and-Guts" Chambliss wants to lecture Jim Webb on the need for downtime in between firefights.

Diebold counted the votes and the flip between the pre-election polling and the alleged real vote was so large (about 12-13% according to articles I've seen) that it's highly unlikely that Diebold counted correctly. In fact, IMO it's pretty obvious that Diebold stole the election for Chambliss and Sonny Perdue and probably some other candidates in that election, the 02 election, the point at which the US lost its democracy. Neither of the winners could believe they'd been elected at the time. Perdue had been down by about 11% points in a pre-election poll only a few days before the election and won the election by about 5% points, IMO a strong indication of a fraudulent vote count courtesy of Diebold. I don't think there's any question myself.

When the vote is counted in secret without verification (in this case w/o even the possibility of verification since the counting took place totally inside the Diebold voting machines and there was not one shred of paper to be used to verify) it's not possible to have even the slightest confidence in the outcome of an election. It's also not possible to have a democracy.

Lots of people cash out from expensive areas like the northeast and head south. They aren't necessarily liberal, but neither do they fancy themselves protectors of the Confederacy. I guess it will take another generation or so, but time would seem to be on our side, not theirs.

We've had some alright one's now and then. Zell Miller gave us HOPE Scholorships.....course now we've sold our lottery so we can't really pay for it anymore. I think we've had one or two others since I've been here....

but we have each other. Georgia, and military bases (and I'm not so sure they're as enthusiastic as they used to be), are the only places left where Bush isn't booed off the stage.

I do believe thus far the only guestimated competition will be from the CEO of Dekalb county Ga - Vernon Jones -- who isn't exactly the picture of ethics and doesn't have a prayer in hell of winning in a state wide race.

Chambliss is not a thug, he's a well-connected pussy. It requires at least a modicum of guts to be a "thug".

I generally like his platform, but we know what happens to guys who say they are going to "clean up Washington". They normally either get eaten alive and thrown back to their home state in tatters, or else they get corrupted.

We'll have to wait and see how bad Vernon Jones and Dale Cardwell rip each other up. I can't speak much on Cardwell, but Vernon Jones is 'take no prisoners' type of ruthless.

I just read his issues page on his website and I have to say that he sounds halfway decent.
