4. Dont know if you recall but folks were saying that about Clinton after Waco
Supposed to be that Clinton would "never step down . . . yada, yada, yada."

so No and No. But I am no Cheney/Bush fan. These are serious bad guys.

If you want to see what bad guys are up to, just read their book. Same way Patton whompped on Rommel. He read Rommel's book.

For some reason a lot of bad guys (which I do score Cheney/Bush, btw) feel obliged to tip their hand. It does not just happen in James Bond stories were the bad guy has to tell Bond his plan.

Hitler had his Mein Kampf. Just read the book, and you could tell where things were heading. In the case of the NeoClowns it is their PNAC (Project for the New American Century) and that lays out their Master Plan.

and more details here >>>

If they get to whomp on Iran, they will be pretty happy. I think they view the US as already conquered turf. Looking at the D's going along with all this crap, I think they are correct.

5. Yes, they do tip their hand...
...and this seems quite the tactical blunder to me. Do they not understand that the opposition will get a hold of whatever they've written in the past. Seems pretty arrogant and stupid to make such a misstep.

While they're making missteps, I wish they'd release the domestic enemies list along with round up dates so I'd have an idea by when to have fled.

6. I already have my beach front reservations in for a nice room at
GITMO. :) :)

But seriously -- For me and my mine, I had to already ponder the Fight or Flight thing. When they were hunting back into the IRR, they stopped 1 year short of where I was sitting. I have a high demand skill -- Combat Engineer Officer -- good for clearing IEDs, etc., and my exit date was 1999, they stopped at 2000.

But looking at Fight or Flight, I had offers to go to Canada, but I figured I owed the fight to America and the guys still in to stay and refuse compliance.

Looked at the history and it looked like Caussius (sp?) Clay aka Muhammed Ali did 3 1/2 years or so for refusing Vietnam, so if that was the standard, I could hang with that to do the right thing. Real sentences for guys like Benderman and Meiga have presently been running under a year.

Aint nothing but a thing.

9. Yeah, that is about like the advice I get from a Cambodian friend
that I went to college with. His father was an Senior Officer in the Capitol Police when Pol Pot took over, so his family was marked for death. My friend and his girlfriend -- now his wife -- ran all the way across Cambodia to Thailand to escape the "killing fields" when they were teenagers. However, they lost all the rest of their families.

We were tight as study partners for hard Electrical Engineering classes, and I was in ROTC at the same time. Every so often, he would say to me -- "Phil, you need to understand. This fighting and wars are not good things."

Went to his daughter's birthday party a couple of months ago. His little girl is 5 and so is ours. Big outdoor party, but I kept looking around trying to figure out what was odd. Other Cambodians, and some Blacks, Mexicans, White folks like us -- no big deal, that was normal. But then I figured out I was the oldest person there. At parties for my kids, there are our kids' grandparents, aunts, and great aunts -- all older. That does not exist in the Cambodian survivor culture. They were all killed.

My friend is right. This fighting and wars are not good things.

10. Very sad about your friend's family...
Edited on Mon Jul-16-07 04:41 AM by Mr_Jefferson_24
...stories like that make me realize how incredibly lucky I've been thus far in my life not to have had to face such a nightmare.

BushCo is a nightmare of sorts that is responsible for many unnecessarily lost and ruined lives. I believe he will be responsible for many more before its all said and done.
