9/11- related bill hits another snag
By Jonathan E. Kaplan
July 17, 2007

Legislation to implement recommendations of the commission that investigated the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks hit another snag yesterday when Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) objected to moving the bill to a joint House-Senate conference committee.

The bill appeared to be moving to conference this week after Senate Republicans dropped their objections and House Democrats vowed to work through remaining jurisdictional squabbles that have held up the bill for months.

But Kyl put his foot down when Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) sought unanimous consent to consider a transportation security bill, H.R. 1401, along with the House and Senate versions of the 9/11 bill in the conference committee.
The Senate has not considered the measure; the House passed the bill in March by a vote of 299-124.

House Democratic sources said the Senate GOP’s move could delay going to conference.

1. You mean that OBSTRUCTIONIST Senator Kyl?
OBSTRUCTING the people's business? That one? (Who is, I'm sorry to say, my Senator and a slimy little behind the curtain Rove disciple).

3. I believe we had this conversation earlier today, about earlier faux pas
by the questionable senator! How time squeezes together, as does peoples' actions. This guy has got to go! And then there's this guy, though he's been neutralized!:

5. Thanks, but I'm getting the distinct impression no one cares. That's okay!
Maybe they will care tomorrow.
