Can Vitters be charged with a crime because of the prostitution
stuff? Do the police have enough evidence? Is it a misdemeanor?

1. it's a misdemeanor as far as i know but if he used campaign contributions maybe
thats an offense that would carry a "stiffer" punishment.

4. the statute of limitations has passed
it is too late to charge him w. the multiple offenses he committed over several years in d.c. and in new orleans, or at least the offenses being discussed now all supposedly were committed prior to 2004
