McCain Will Not Tap Wife's Assets
"The dire financial situation of Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign has some observers wondering why he doesn't dip into his family's fortune," the Arizona Republic reports.

McCain, unlike rival Mitt Romney, "isn't independently wealthy. His household is wealthy thanks to his wife, Cindy McCain, who inherited a lucrative Budweiser beer distributorship from her father, the late Jim Hensley." Her assets are value in excess of $24 million.

But McCain flatly ruled out such a move: "I value my marriage too much. I have never thought about it. I would never do such a thing, so I wouldn't know what the legalities are."

8. McLame's wife knows that he won't win so she told him
that she will not waste her money on a lost cause. His spin makes him sound noble. Anyone who has followed his career knows what a liar and hypocrite he really is.

9. so, in other words
even your own wife does not think it's important for you to be President. She does not support you enough to put up even 10% of her money to help your campaign.

I guess I understand that, because it would be a huge hardship trying to live on $22 million after you blew $2 million running for President. You'd have to take a vow of poverty if you spent $5 million and had to live on a mere $19 million.

Come on, John, certainly you'd get some of it back after you ghost-write a book in 2009 "The Straight-down express: how I lost the Republican nomination by supporting the Iraq war"

i wouldn't give him my $$$ either
there is a limit, if he can't raise the money on his own steam, why should he blow what she has, a mere $24 million -- enough to keep her for life and through retirement -- is NOTHING in a presidential campaign

so why throw away the security she has on the off chance that he "might" one day be prez, if it was meant to be, somebody outside the family would donate the $$$

12. He'll gladly spend other people's money (if they'd just give it to him!).
But not his wife's. Not gonna put PERSONAL assets at risk, of course.

Hell, I wouldn't either. Especially not on a loser campaign like McLame's.

13. Thanks Bake.
I have been trying to get others to use "McLame" for a long time.

BTW I coined "Busholini", as well but no widespread usage of that, yet.

19. Seems like a fairly assanine article
24 million dollars is nothing to a Presidential campaign. If he cant do it without that he cant do it.
