Canusa Avenue.. a documentary just screaming to be made
Edited on Wed Jul-18-07 01:58 PM by SoCalDem
I would assume that people who live on this street are of comparable income, & status .

It would be interesting to see how the people on that one street handle their medical experiences.

Live on the Canadian side of the street and you can "afford" to be ill..on the other side..not so much.

It would be a great street to compare, dollar for dollar, what they make, what their taxes are, and what the REAL outlay for what they get, really is.

Pat Boisvert stands on Canusa Avenue in Beebe Plain, Vermont. The right side of the street is in Canada, the left in the U.S.

“There’s been an increase in illegal activity, both north and south, in the last little while,” said Mark Henry, the operations officer for the Border Patrol’s Swanton sector, which runs across northern New York, Vermont and New Hampshire. “There have been some significant cases.”

Under the crackdown, instead of parking their cars outside the library in Quebec and walking to the front door in the U.S., Canadian patrons would have to detour through one of two ports of entry linking the municipalities.
