Several top Bush officials ‘would like to leave.’

In his political report today, Robert Novak hints that other members of President Bush’s Cabinet would like to follow the example of VA Secretary Jim Nicholson and resign:

The sudden resignation by Veterans Affairs Secretary Jim Nicholson came as a huge surprise in Washington. Nicholson says he is feeling his age at 70 years, and there are a number of cabinet members who would like to leave. He has no political plans.

I'd love to replace them! I'd go by the book and do everything I'm told. I'd do better than the book-- I'd save every e-mail and memo and record every conversation I had during work hours... just to be a good employee (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)

Nicholson's resignation is nothing more than a good start. Another crony, another "heckuva job, Jimmy!" This guy's negligence has needlessly complicated the lives of tens of thousands of veterans who must now deal with the probability of identity theft, as well as the injured soldiers from Walter Reed and a host of other neglected military care facilities. If I was in the military, I'd be wanting to prosecute this douchebag. As a civilian, however, all I want to do is kick him so hard in the ass that his grandmother will bruise!
