Send the contempt citations to the DC court. It's the established procedure, fully supported by both past SCOTUS decisions and the Constitution.

Put Bushco on call. They'll *have* to respond.

4. Yeah. Even a better reason to put it to the court. See how
a district judge rules and, if denied, appeal to SCOTUS. This is a good one to move up the legal chain of decisions.

3. We might also go the Special Prosecutor route - I think they have to reestablish the office ...

Patrick Fitzgerald is a Republican --

And, basically, the GOP sheet over the Justice Department -- and Supreme Court -- pretty much gives us a Nuremberg Law situation -- i.e., anything the president does is legal.

5. I thought that Patrick Fitzgerald was actually an independent.
Seems like this was the center of a huge discussion, here at DU:

from this site-http://www.sistertoldjah.com/

He registered to vote in New York as an independent. When he discovered that Independent was a political party, he re-registered with no affiliation. Illinois citizens know him for pursuing Republicans and Democrats with equal fervor. Former Gov. George Ryan (R) is on trial on corruption charges, and a growing number of aides to Mayor Richard M. Daley (D) face influence-peddling charges.
