The Taliban occupation of Afghanistan drove 2 million people from their homes
The American occupation of Iraq has driven 4 million people from their homes.

I'm still trying to get my head around these numbers.

1. The Taliban were not an occcupying force
The Taliban were an indigenous religous and political movement that nearly won a civil war, with the Northern Alliance reduced to control of extreme western and and northern parts of the country.

The Taliban were primarily ethnic Pashtuns, the largest group and usual rulers. They largely conquered the Hazara, Uzbek, and Tajik populations.

The notion that there are "Afghans" is largely a Western concept.

if you will, But I firmly believe that the Taliban and Al-Qaeda together were formed to thwart the actions of our World Powers in Pakistan, Afghanistan and elsewhere..
Could it be that Osama separated from his family because he did not agree with their continued loyalty to the Fascist Leaders of this world?
Could it be that, Osama or whoever bombed the WTC did so to send us a message and start investigations into the corruption of our current system? Yes it could be...

It's not only our presence in Iraq that has driven people from their homes.. The US is directly involved in the destabilization of Pakistan and Afghanistan as well. Not to mention many other Countries...

On Edit: If you dug into the OP's story a bit further you would probably see that the USA's involvement in this Country is what truly made these people flee.

Peace Out,
Knight
