NEW LEXINGTON - A Lancaster man accused of inappropriately touching children at a Christian youth camp near Junction City will be in a Perry County courtroom today.
Timmy S. Keil, 43, was charged with three counts of gross sexual imposition Monday afternoon. He has been held without bond in the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail since Friday.
Keil was a volunteer counselor at the Scioto Youth Camp when he was allegedly found molesting a young boy on Thursday.
Neighbor Susan Kaiser said she felt sorry for Keil's family and children.

Keil was in charge of 13 boys between the ages of 8 and 10 years old at the camp. Keil was convicted of corruption of minors in Pennsylvania in 1990, Drake said. He received four years probation.
Lancaster police have been called out to his home three times since 2002, according to reports. Twice he threatened to kill himself in 2002. Both times he went to the hospital. In June of this year he called police saying his neighbors were harassing him and taking photos of him and his kids and posting them on the Web. Police advised him and his neighbors to stay away from each other. Keil had been considered an adjunct instructor at the Ohio Christian University's Circleville campus.

Keil had been given a reference for the camp counseling position by a minister from Fairfield Christian Church. Fairfield Christian Church Pastor Tom Alexander said on Monday, after the charges were filed, Keil had never been on the staff of the Fairfield Christian Church, however, he had been a volunteer at the church since 2005.
