was brilliant. It flowed logically from her vigil in Crawford. She is a simple citizen who wants answers to simple questions.
I suggest that we all follow her lead and directly confront our representatives about impeaching Bush. Let's go to their field offices in our home communities and demand an answer -- risking jail if necessary.
This strategy does not require amassing hundreds of thousands of people in Washington. Nor do we all have to take action at the exact same time. But if we the people speak loud enough, we can make them hear.
I disagree with her plan to run as an Independent against Nancy Pelosi, but if I lived in her District I would write her name in on the Democratic Party primary ballot. I disagree with her anger against Democrats when the Republicans are the ones who have caused all the grief, but I share her anger at the Congress as a whole that has so far refused to do its duty concerning Bush, Cheney, Gonzales and the rest of the pretenders who are shaming our country and destroying our Constitution.
And I salute her instinct for making the symbolic gesture that crystalizes the simple truth that most of us are too sophisticated to see.
What we need now is unity among the majority that want to put a stop to Bush and Cheney's march toward dictatorial power and perpetual war. And we need to communicate the truth of our unity to our Represenatives in the most direct way possible.
Cindy is a simple citizen who wants answers to simple questions -- questions that deserve direct answers. I take John Conyers at his word that the votes aren't there for impeachment, as of now. Let us then carry the same message to the rest of our Representatives -- Democrat, Republican or Independent.
We should be pulling together around a strategy for restoring the rule of law. Cindy is no policy expert or pundit. She is a far more precious asset to America -- she is a natural.
