Post pics of your representatives...

This is mine...David Davis(R) TN-1. Interesting fashion statement with the high belt line. He's anti-choice, supports digging out all of the oil on the entire planet and says the world is a dangerous place.

...right click on it and select "copy image location".Then when you go to post just right click again and select "paste" to put the link in your post, and the image will (usually) come up for you when you post it (it will just appear as a link within your post as you type your message, but when you actually post your message the image will be there).

20. Rep.Bill Sali R-Club for Growth
Edited on Tue Jul-24-07 07:53 PM by sheeptramp

Members of both parties agree, Bill Sali is an idiot.

He won the election beecause in Idaho, no one votes for Dems.

He is a creature of Grover Nordqust.

FromFactCheck.org:
State Rep. Bill Sali, a Republican running in Idaho ’s First Congressional District, appears to have few friends even in his own party. The quotes in this ad are not only devastating, but accurate, at least as reported by the press – except that state House Speaker Bruce Newcomb’s full quote was even better than we’re told in the ad. “That idiot is an absolute idiot,” he opined. Forcefully. Newcomb’s comments were made when Sali refused to stop talking about an alleged link between abortions and breast cancer on the floor of the state House last spring, even though a fellow legislator (the Democratic leader) who was a breast cancer survivor began crying. The House’s 11 Democrats walked out to protest Sali’s remarks.

60. That's a scream!!

"I just don't get why all those meanies keep attack the bestest Republican Congresswoman ever from West Virginia, Shelley Moore Capito. Why are making such a big deal out of nothing? Last week she passed a bill making it really, really hard for illegals to get free housing, that's something.

Capito is so right that free housing is a magnet for poor people from other countries to come to this country. I bet if you are poor in Mexico or some wierd place like that you just can't get free housing like our free housing. Of course you'd want to come here to be poor. Why be poor there when you can be poor here. We have a lot better housing for poor people, don't we?

Hmmm. I'm not super sure on that, 'cause I've never noticed any free poor people housing in West Virginia, but I know if Shelley says its a problem, it must be a realy big problem. It makes sense, right? All that super-great free housing we give people, it must be like a super-duper giant magnet for poor people from all over the world to come be poor people here. I'm sure Bush has been cutting back on it for the last six years but whatever is left, I can almost feel that tingly magnetic feeling myself."

The district includes much of Central Brooklyn including Brownsville, Crown Heights, East Flatbush, Flatbush, Kensington, Midwood, and Park Slope. 52. Here is my rep, John Murtha D-12th PA, with some long forgotten Washington politician
Edited on Tue Jul-24-07 09:28 PM by happyslug

http://www.house.gov/murtha/

Quotes from Murtha:

"In order to restore international credibility, I believe it is necessary for the U.S to completely denounce any aspirations of building permanent U.S. military bases in Iraq; I believe we should shut down the Guantanamo detention facility; and we must bulldoze the Abu Ghraib prison. We must clearly articulate and demonstrate a policy of “no torture, no exceptions” and directly engage countries in the region with dialogue instead of directives. This includes allies as well as our perceived adversaries."

"I have said this before and I continue to say that there are essentially only two plans. One is to continue an occupation that has not worked and that has shown no progress toward stabilization. The other, which I advocate, is to end the occupation of Iraq, redeploy and re-strengthen our military and turn Iraq over to the Iraqis."
