If I ever did represent a district in the United States -
With all my might I would push thru - an oil import nuetral progam.
A fast as I could - I would want that district "oil import nuetral" - right now and in a hurry.
NO MONEY GOING OVERASEAS!!!
Man - my dad - he ran an oil company once - I know this is doable - right now.
I don't think so - I know so.
Maybe not the cleanest thing in the short run - but you know - in the short run, we could be running right into a thirld world war too. And that cannot ever be the long range.
You know the other thing right - our cars don't run on solar - they burn gasoline and they will for a long time. Where do you think the oil is really going??
DOn't give them our money - that is a real strategy.
You know - don't you?
Increase the mpg standards - Christ - the least we could do. But you know - end of the day - even if it is a hundred miles a gallon - where is that oil coming from??
They have no idea what they are talking about - They just sell votes now.
Here is the thing - 60 whatever years ago our parents were bombing the syn oil plants in Germany that we probably need to look at now. Germans were smart - kept a war going on two fronts and their economy running all on syn oil.
And they had just a small fraction of the resources we have available.
We CAN look to history - this has been done!!
I want the WWIII scenario eliminated - and then we can move on. I have no issue with the oil companies in a large sense - other than they be responsible citizens. The problem is - they are run by lawyers now - so I guess we have to require this and not ask it.
