Why I would seek inherent contempt.
Simple. We keep using strategies that allow the bush administration to stay in the game and futher manipulate our system of government. I firmly believe you seal the deal against them if you want to take them out of gaming the system.

1. I don't think we should unilaterally cede ground to them in the courts
just because there will be predictable opposition.

I haven't found anyone who thinks we couldn't utilize both options.

2. Let bush show his hand. It will also show the Reps in congress to be
in agreement with his imperial desires.

3. As long as the 1-2 punch delivers the 2 when the 1 gets blocked.
But I try to keep perspective. A week's delay here or there is a drop in the bucket in a 200+ year Republic's history, and history is the stage here, not a week's blip in the polls.

4. It will be interesting to see how history turns out.
I don't believe in leaving things to risk in the high stakes we currently are under.

6. Well that's what I meant.
It's not a day to day thing, it's a final results thing. We're kidding ourselves if we think Congress regularly moves instantaneously. But there needs to be a conclusion that knocks the executive branch's defiance down a notch.

7. The contempt story is now on CNN.
We need to link it with this http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/history/document/document.shtml adding that the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree.
